CAKE PAN CAKE 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Put all together into sifter. Sift directly into ungreased 8 inch square cake pan. With finger, make 3 holes in this dry mixture. 1 tbsp. vinegar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. cold water

Pour cooking oil in first hole, vinegar in second hole, and vanilla in third hole; pour cold water over all. Stir with fork until evenly blended. Bake 35 to 40 minutes in 350 degree oven. Invert pan and cool. Remove from pan or frost right in the pan. Good served hot with whipped cream or a sauce.
