APPLE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. peeled and chopped raw apples
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg
3/4 c. raisins
1 c. broken pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a Bundt pan. Cream sugar, shortening and eggs. Add apples. Sift together flour, soda, salt and spices. Combine with creamed mixture. Add raisins and nuts. Pour into prepared Bundt pan and bake from 45 to 60 minutes or until done.
