CRISP SWEET PICKLES 
25-30 cucumbers
2 c. lime (dehydrated)
2 qts. vinegar
4 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. whole cloves
1 tbsp. pickling spices
1 tbsp. salt
2 gallons water

Cut cucumbers into chunks or long quarter slices. Set aside. Make a solution of the 2 cups lime and 2 gallons water. Pour over cucumbers in large container. Let soak for 24 hours. Rinse and drain 3 times. Soak for another 3 hours in water in which ice has been added. Drain. Cover cucumbers with vinegar and sugar and spices. Boil 4 minutes. Then pack into hot sterile jars.
