ROUND STEAK WITH GRAVY 
1 lg. round steak, 1 inch thick
1/3 c. flour
Salt and pepper
1 env. dry onion soup
Water
butter

Cut steak into large pieces. Pound with side of small saucer to make thinner. Dredge with flour and salt and pepper. Melt butter in large frying pan. Place steak in and brown on both sides for about 15 minutes. Cover with water and sprinkle onion soup mix on top. Turn down heat and cover. Cook until tender, about 30 minutes, adding water, if necessary. Serve with gravy over mashed potatoes.
