HEARTY STEW 
3 lb. stew meat
1 bag baby carrots
1 onion, chopped
6-8 med. potatoes, lg. cubes
1 clove garlic, chopped
2-3 ribs, chopped
2 (15 oz.) cans beef broth
2 (15 oz.) cans golden mushroom soup
1 tbsp. sugar
Salt and pepper

Layer ingredients in order given in a large pot with a lid. Bake at 275 degrees for 5 or more hours. DO NOT lift lid until after 5 hours.

This is an excellent meal to have waiting for you when you come home from a day of playing outside.

SEVERAL YEARS ago I made this recipe and could not find it. My daughter, now grown and who has a family of her own said "mom, remember..."? So I began to search! This is it... Luckily I did remember the 2 cans golden mushroom soup ~ I am going to make it again right now! and I WILL make sure I put it in my file. Thanks to the internet and AL GORE for inventing it!
