APPLE SQUARES 
8-10 apples
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Confectioners' Sugar Frosting
Pie crust for a 9 inch double crust

Make pie crust, roll into a thin rectangle to fit a cookie sheet. Grate apples. Make a crumb mixture with sugar, flour, butter and cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples, cover with chopped nuts. Place on top crust, seal edges, slit top crust. Bake in a 425 degree oven for 50-60 minutes. Cool, then frost with Confectioners' Sugar Icing.

CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR ICING:

1 c. confectioners' sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. milk

Mix until creamy.
