BUTTER CRUST BEER BREAD | |
2 c. self-rising flour 3 tbsp. sugar 1 (12 oz.) beer (not light) 4 tbsp. (1/2 stick) butter, unsalted Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Oil or butter a loaf pan. Combine flour, sugar and beer. Mix with wooden spoon until blended and sticky. Pour dough in loaf pan and bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and pour melted butter on top. Bake for 30 minutes or until lightly browned on top. Cool in pan and then remove. |
