SOUTHERN GAL BISCUITS | |
2 c. flour 4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 1/2 c. shortening 1 egg 2/3 c. milk Mix flour, baking powder, cream of tartar and shortening together until consistency of cornbread. Add egg and milk and mix thoroughly. Place on bread board and knead 5 times. Do not use any more flour. Roll 1/2 inch thick. Cut and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. |
