STIR - FRIED VEGETABLES -
CHINESE STYLE

Chinese eat a variety of vegetables, and/or combinations of vegetables. Actually they can be combined as desired to make many different kinds of dishes. Below are a few commonly eaten vegetable dishes.

STIR-FRIED CABBAGE:

3 cloves of garlic
1 head of cabbage
2 tbsp. oil
Salt
MSG (if desired)

Clean cabbage carefully and chop into about 2 to 3 inch pieces. Place oil in hot wok (or frying pan) with garlic chopped into small pieces. Add the cabbage all at once. You may need to add a little water to keep from sticking. When cabbage is beginning to get cooked, add a pinch of salt and MSG to taste. When cabbage is cooked thoroughly, drain water and serve hot with rice and other meat dishes.

STIR-FRIED SPINACH:

Same ingredients as above, except substitute fresh spinach. Use the same method of cooking and you will have a very commonly eaten Chinese style vegetable.

For other stir-fried vegetables, you can combine chopped carrots (not too small pieces - sliced round pieces is fine) and Chinese pea pods. Or: stir-fried broccoli, carrots and mushrooms.
