CHOCOLATE CHIP/OATMEAL CAKE 
1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. quick oats
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cocoa
12 oz. milk chocolate chips
3/4 c. nuts (walnuts)

Pour water over oats - let stand 10 minutes. Add sugars and butters, beating well. Add eggs and beat well also. Sift remaining ingredients together and stir into batter. Mix well. Pour 1/2 chocolate chips into batter mix and pour into greased and floured pan. Add remaining chips and nuts. Bake 40 minutes, 350 degrees. Really good and easy!
