EASTER (BRAIDED) BREAD | |
24 c. flour 1 1/2 c. sugar 3 tbsp. salt 1/4 lb. Crisco (melted) 9 lg. eggs, beaten 5 pkgs. dry yeast Almost 2 qts. milk Raise yeast in 1 cup tepid milk. Knead until bubbles crack, 20-30 minutes. Let rise 3 times. Make loaves. Let rise again. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown. Makes 7 loaves. |
