CHOCOLATE BRITTLE 
2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1/4 c. + 2 tbsp. water
12 (1.05 oz.) milk chocolate candy bars
3 c. chopped pecans

Combine butter, sugar and water in a Dutch oven; cook over low heat until candy reaches hard crack stage, 300 degrees. Remove from heat and immediately pour into 2 buttered 12" pizza pans, spreading to edges of pans.

Melt chocolate in top of double boiler over hot water. Spread chocolate over brittle; sprinkle pecans evenly on top. Press pecans into chocolate. Let stand until chocolate is firm. Break candy into pieces. Yield: about 4 pounds.
