CHOCOLATE BRITTLE 
2 c. butter
1/4 c. + 2 tbsp. water
3 c. pecans
2 c. sugar
12 (1.55 oz.) Hershey milk chocolate bars

Combine butter, sugar and water - cook over low heat to hard crack stage (300 degrees). (Use candy thermometer.) Immediately pour into 2 buttered 12-inch pizza pans. Spread to edges. (I used 1 jelly roll pan.) Melt chocolate in double boiler. Spread over brittle and sprinkle with nuts. Let stand until firm. Bread into pieces.

Yield: 4 pounds.
