PEAR NUT BREAD 
2 or 3 fresh Bartlett pears
1/2 c. salad oil
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. nuts

Mash pears (1 cup); mix oil and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add sour cream and vanilla. Sift and add dry ingredients. Add nuts and pears. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
