OLD FASHIONED APPLE PIE 
Pastry for 2 crust pie
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 tbsp. flour
Dash of salt
6 c. thinly pared tart cooking apples (2 lbs.)
2 tbsp. butter

In a small bowl combine sugar, cinnamon, flour and salt; mixing well. Add to apples, tossing lightly. Turn into pastry lined pie plate, mounding high in center. Dot with butter. Place on top pastry. Make several slits near top. Fold pastry edge, crimp edges. Bake at 425 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.
