MAMA'S BISCUITS FOR TWO 
2 tbsp. cooking oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sweet milk
1 c. plain flour

Mix all ingredients well; place dough on floured board and roll to 1/2 inch thick or pinch off a small ball and shape with fingers. Place biscuits on heavily greased baking pan and bake until golden brown.

In the early days Mama made biscuits to fill a pan as big as the oven in the old black wood-burning stove.
