PEANUT BUTTER STICKS | |
1 Pullman loaf bread, reg. slice 1 (12 oz.) jar creamy peanut butter 1/3 c. peanut oil 1 tbsp. sugar Cut off crusts. Cut slices into 4 sticks each. Dry crusts and sticks separately in low temperature oven, 1 hour, 250 degrees. Break up crusts into crumbs. Put some in 5 x 7 inch loaf pan. Put peanut butter, oil and sugar in another loaf pan. Stir until blended and warm over low heat. Coat bread sticks (6 at a time) in warm mixture. Using fork, lift, roll each in bread crumbs. Place on rack to dry. Keeps well. Freeze. Leftover crumb mixture? Good ice cream topping! |
