MEXICAN CORN BREAD 
1/2 c. bacon grease (or oil)
1 c. milk
1 c. plain meal
1 lg. onion
3-4 lg. jalapeno peppers
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 lb. hamburger
1 1/2 c. grated cheese
16 oz. cream corn

Mix all ingredients together, except the hamburger meat and cheese. Brown the hamburger meat in a skillet, then drain. Put half the cornbread mixture in the bottom of a greased pan. Top with hamburger and spread next layer with cheese. Add remaining cornbread mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour or until brown.
