CRAZY CRUST FOR PIE | |
1 c. all-purpose flour 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 c. water 2/3 c. solid vegetable shortening 1 egg No need to sift flour; measure by lightly spooning into cup and leveling off. Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl. Blend at lowest speed; beat at medium speed 2 minutes. Spread batter in 9-10 inch deep dish pie pan. Carefully spoon filling into center of batter. Do not stir. Bake at 425 degrees for 40-45 minutes until crust is golden brown. |
