Saltines 2 sticks butter 1 c. sugar 1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips Line a large cookie sheet with 2 layers of aluminum foil. Line cookie sheet with saltines. Completely cover tray with 1 layer of saltines end touching end. No spaces. Melt butter; add 1 cup of sugar. Bring to a boil for 1 minute. Pour sugar/butter mixture over saltines and spread evenly with a spatula. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees (golden color). Remove from oven and immediately pour chips over the saltines. Spread as they melt to evenly cover saltines. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Break in pieces to serve. |
