PUMPKIN SQUARES OR BARS 
1 (18 1/2 oz.) yellow cake mix (reserve 1 c. for topping)
1/2 c. melted butter
1 egg, beaten

Combine and pat into greased and floured 10x14 inch pan.

In large bowl, combine:

1 can pumpkin
2 eggs, beaten
2/3 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spices
1 c. chopped nuts

Blend together and pour mixture into pan.

TOPPING:

1 c. reserved cake mix
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar (brown, if desired)
1/4 c. butter, at room temperature
2 tsp. cinnamon

Blend as for pie crust and sprinkle over top of other mixtures.

Bake at 350°F for 45-50 minutes. Cook and cut into squares or bars.
