BANANA NUT BREAD 
3 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking soda in a little warm water
6 c. flour
1/2 c. sour milk
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
4 eggs, beaten
6 mashed bananas
1 c. melted butter
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt

Beat together sugar, eggs and butter. Add soda, flour and salt and cream of tartar alternately with sour milk. Stir in bananas. Add nuts last. Bake in two 9 x 5 inch greased loaf pans at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
