SWEDISH MEATBALLS 
3/4 to 1 lb. ground chuck
1/3 c. minced onion
1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
1 slice bread, finely cubed
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1 egg
1/4 c. milk

In a bowl, beat egg; add milk and cubed bread; let stand for 5 minutes. Add seasonings and mix well. Add meat and blend well with a fork. Shape into balls about the size of a walnut. Brown well on all sides in butter. If meat mixture is permitted to stand in refrigerator for several hours before frying, the flavor is improved. Enjoy!
