GRASSHOPPER BROWNIES 
4 oz. baking chocolate
1 c. butter
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

FILLING:

1/2 c. butter
4 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. table cream
1/4 c. creme de menthe
1 c. chopped walnuts

TOPPING:

1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 tbsp. water
4 tbsp. butter

Base: Melt chocolate and butter over hot water; cool slightly. Beat eggs until light; gradually beat in sugar. Add remaining ingredients; beat 1 minute. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees; cool.

Filling: Beat together butter and sugar while gradually adding cream and creme de menthe. Mixture should be light and fluffy. Mix in walnuts. Spread over base; chill.

Topping: Melt chocolate chips with water and butter over hot water. Mix well. Dribble over filling. Chill until firm. Cut in 1 x 2 inch bars. Store in refrigerator. Makes 5 dozen.
