BLACKBERRY SLICKERS 
4 c. blackberries
Water to cover
2 c. sugar

SLICKERS:

2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. (or just enough to thicken) milk

Put blackberries in big saucepan and add sugar. Cover with water to just above the berries. Cover and cook on medium to low heat until berry juice is black. Then mix slickers (dumplings) and drop by spoonfuls on berries. Then cover and cook until slickers are done. Serve with cream or ice cream.
