1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 tsp. salt Pepper to taste 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 med. onion, chopped 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (or 1/2 of 8 oz. pkg.) 1 (8 oz.) carton commercial sour cream 1 (6 oz.) pkg. sm. noodles 1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese Additional cheese for topping Saute onions in small amount of butter. Brown beef with onions. Pour off excess grease; add seasonings and tomato sauce to beef. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Mix together cream cheese and sour cream. Cook noodles and drain. Mix noodles, meat sauce and sour cream. Cook noodles and drain. Mix noodles, meat sauce and sour cream mixture with 1/2 cup of grated cheddar cheese. Put into 3 quart buttered casserole. Cover with additional grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees until bubbly, about 1 hour. |
