BEST SAUERKRAUT EVER 
1 jar Kraut
1 big onion
3 garlic toes
1 tbsp. caraway seeds
3-4 lg. potatoes, cubed
1/4 c. pork dripping or butter or bacon
3/4 c. half & half cream
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. brown sugar

Drain and wash kraut. Simmer (with just enough water to cover) kraut, onion, garlic and caraway for 1 hour. Then put pork dripping, potato cubes in kraut. Bake in oven at 200 degrees all day, 6-8 hours.

Then add half & half, 1 tablespoon flour to thicken, 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Cream E E Kraut.
