NORWEGIAN SYRUP COOKIES 
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 cup sweet cream
1 cup dark Karo syrup
2 cups melted butter
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

This recipe is from Grandma Gusarson.

Mix well, let stand over night, roll thin, cut into shapes desired. Make lovely Christmas cookies.

Bake at 350°F until a very light brovwn.
