BUTTERSCOTCH PRALINES 
1 pkg. butterscotch pudding mix (not instant)
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. evaporated milk
1 1/2 tbsp. butter
2 1/4 c. pecans (whole or chopped)

Mix sugars, pudding mix, and butter into heavy pot. Cook until mixture boils, stirring often. Cook gently, stirring often until soft ball stage (234 degrees on candy thermometer). Usually 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add pecans. Beat until mixture thickens and looks shiny. Drop by tablespoons onto wax paper. Pralines should set overnight to firm.
