CHICKEN CHEESE PIE 
1 stick butter
8 slices bread, buttered and crusts trimmed
1 egg white, slightly beaten
4 tbsp. dry bread crumbs
3 tbsp. onion, chopped
1 can mushroom soup, no water
1 c. chicken, cooked and cut up (I use more)
1 c. cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 c. milk
2 eggs plus 1 yolk

Butter generously a 10" Pyrex pie plate. Line pan with approximately 8 slices of bread, buttered sides down, cutting strips to fit around the sides. Brush bread surface with the beaten egg white and sprinkle with the dry bread crumbs. Sprinkle with the onion. Add soup and spread evenly. Add chicken and top with cheese. Beat egg and milk together, add salt and pepper. Pour over cheese. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
