CHOP SUEY | |
2 lbs. lean pork 2 c. water 2 c. celery, cut 1 onion, chopped 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. molasses 1 tbsp. chop suey sauce 1 can bean sprouts 3 tbsp. flour 3 tbsp. water Water chestnuts (optional) Cut pork into cubes and fry until brown, add water, celery, onion and salt. Simmer one hour, add molasses, sauce, bean sprouts. Thicken with flour and water. Cook until thick. Serve with rice. I find this is very good made with a can of canned pork, instead of the fresh meat. If it's impossible to get bean sprouts, add more celery. Serves 10-12. |
