BAKED BEEF STEW 
2 lbs. beef cubes (stew beef)
Potatoes
Carrots
Onions
Celery
Salt and pepper
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (8 oz.) can water
1 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. quick cooking Minute tapioca

Use pan large enough to lay beef cubes in single layer. DO NOT brown meat first. Cut potatoes, carrots, onions, and celery in chunks and lay on top of meat Salt and pepper to taste. Mix tomato sauce with water and sugar and pour over meat and vegetables.

Scatter tapioca on top; don't bother to stir it. Seal tightly with heavy foil. Place in oven at 325 degrees for 2 1/2 hours. DON'T PEEP DURING COOKING TIME.
