YEAST BISCUITS 
2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 3 tbsp. warm water

Add the 1/2 teaspoon baking soda to one cup buttermilk before mixing. Mix all other ingredients, knead and cut into biscuits.
