STEP 1: 2 c. flour 1 1/2 c. rolled oats 1/2 c. nuts (optional) 1 c. brown sugar 1 square butter STEP 2: 1 pkg. Danish dessert strawberry or raspberry 4 c. berries (fresh or frozen) STEP 3: 2 pkg. Dream Whip 1 (8 oz.) Philadelphia cheese 3/4 c. powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla STEP 1: Mix flour, rolled oats, nuts and brown sugar. Put in large oblong cake pan. Stir well; melt butter and drizzle over mix, stir well. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees, stirring every 5 minutes so it doesn't brown. Set aside to cool. STEP 2: Fix Danish dessert as directed on package. Cool and fold in 4 cups berries. If berries are frozen, thaw them partially and add to warm dessert to cool. STEP 3: Mix 2 packages Dream Whip as directed on package. Whip until very stiff, then add cream cheese, cut in hunks, vanilla and powdered sugar and beat until it stands in peaks. Stir crumbs and divide in thirds. Remove 2/3's and spread 1/3 over bottom of pan. Add mixed half of Dream Whip spreading over crumbs. Sprinkle with 1/3 of crumbs. Add and spread fruit and Danish mix, then rest of Dream Whip mix. Sprinkle with rest of crumbs. Refrigerate overnight. When serving, turn over onto plates. Stays together better than trying to scoop off spatula. |
