PICANTE SAUCE 
4 lg. (28 oz.) cans whole tomatoes
2 lg. onions, chopped
4 sm. cans diced green chili peppers
6-8 lg. jalapenos, cut up
4 tbsp. vinegar
4 tsp. garlic salt
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. salt
2 tsp. black pepper

Chop tomatoes (with juice) in blender. Add onions, green chili peppers and jalapenos into heavy bottom pot. Add vinegar, garlic, salt, sugar, salt and black pepper. Cook on medium to high heat 20 minutes, stirring often. Cool and refrigerate. If this is too hot, cut jalapenos and green chilies to 1/2 amount listed.
