SCRUMPTIOUS CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
1 lb. butter
1 lb. dark brown sugar
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. vanilla
3 eggs
6 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
24 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

Cream together butter, dark brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add vanilla and eggs. Beat for 3 minutes. Add flour, salt, and baking soda. Mix together. Fold in chocolate chips (and walnuts, if desired). Place spoonfuls of dough on a sheet of aluminum foil (this is very important - don't forget the foil!) on a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
