ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD 
2 pkg. yeast
4 to 4 1/2 c. unsifted flour
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. water
Cornmeal

Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and soda. Heat liquids until very warm in microwave. Add to dry mixture and beat well. Stir in rest of flour to stiff batter. Spoon into 2 loaf pans (greased and sprinkled with cornmeal). Sprinkle top with cornmeal. Cover and rise 45 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove and cool on racks immediately. Great sliced and toasted!

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
