CORN FRITTERS 
This is a different, delicious way to serve corn as a vegetable. Serve with ham or lots of syrup.

1 can cream-style corn
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking powder
salt and pepper, to taste

Mix all ingredients together thoroughly. Drop by 1/4 cupfuls in hot frying pan with a little bacon grease or on a hot griddle. Cook on both sides until done and lightly browned.
