HUNGARIAN STUFFED CABBAGE 
2 lb. hamburger
3 eggs
1 c. barley
64 oz. sauerkraut or more to taste
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 heads cabbage

SAUCE:

4 tbsp. shortening
4-5 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. paprika

Boil cabbage until plyable, cool separate leaves. Mix all of the above ingredients in large mixing bowl. Chop up left over cabbage and mix 1/2 cabbage with 1/2 sauerkraut. Roll meat mixture into cabbage leaves, place on top of cabbage-kraut mixture. Top with remainder of cabbage-kraut. Add water to 1 inch below food in pan.
