LEP COOKIES (Grandma Potter's) 
1/2 gal. sorghum
1 1/2 pts. pecans
2 lbs. brown sugar
1 pt. melted lard
1 pt. sour milk
1 tbsp. nutmeg
3 tbsp. baking soda
1 lb. currants (optional)
1/2 lb. citron
1/2 lb. raisins
1 tbsp. cloves
1 tbsp. allspice
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. ginger
2 tbsp. salt

Add flour to make stiff dough. Mix at night - let stand until next day. Spread on cookie sheet and bake. Ice when cool.
