MARY'S LENTIL SOUP 
1 pkg. dry lentils
1 stalk celery with leaves
1 sm. onion
3 carrots
1 med. can tomatoes
Pinch basil and thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp. olive oil

Wash lentils, boil in 2 quarts water with diced celery with leaves, diced onions, carrots and tomatoes mashed. Add seasonings and cook 3/4 hour or until tender. Add olive oil before serving.
