CHOCOLATE DESSERT WITH MARIE
COOKIES
 
1/2 lb. sweet chocolate, baking
2 pkg. Marie cookies, or Social Tea
1 stick salted butter, softened
6 eggs, separated
6 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt chocolate on top of double boiler. Let cool. Blend softened butter with the egg yolks. Add melted chocolate and blend well. Whip egg whites until stiff adding sugar while whipping. Blend egg whites with chocolate mixture and then add vanilla. Make sure all ingredients are well blended.

In a glass dish, spread a layer of chocolate mixture. Then put in a layer of Marie cookies. Repeat with layer of chocolate and then cookies until all chocolate is used up. Make sure top layer is chocolate. Refrigerate overnight. To serve, take out of refrigerator about 1 hour before serving.
