FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. water
1 pkg. (3 oz.) strawberry gelatin dessert mix
1 qt. fresh strawberries
1 baked 9 inch pie shell

Combine in saucepan sugar, cornstarch, salt and water; cook, stirring constantly until clear. Add gelatin mix; stir to blend. Cool mixture to room temperature. Arrange washed, drained fresh strawberries in shell; pour sauce over berries. Chill. Serve with whipped cream if desired. Yield: 8 servings.
