PEACH UPSIDE DOWN CAKE | |
1/2 c. butter 1 c. brown sugar 3 eggs 1 c. white sugar 4 tbsp. water 1 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/3 tsp. salt Melt 1/2 c. butter in baking pan, add 1 cup brown sugar and on this place peach halves. Beat 3 egg yolks until thick and add 1 cup sugar gradually. Add 4 tablespoons water or peach juice. Add 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder and 1/3 teaspoon salt, sifted together. Add 3 stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake about 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve topped with whipped cream or ice cream. Minnie Pronk's daughter |
