LAURA'S GINGERBREAD RECIPE 
BLEND:

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. lard
1 c. molasses

ADD: 1 c. boiling water

Be sure the cup is full of water after foam is run into cake mixture.

MIX: 1 tsp. ginger 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. allspice 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. cloves 1/2 tsp. salt

Blend into rest of mixture.

ADD: Raisins OR Candied fruit OR Chocolate chips

Bake for 30 minutes in 350 degree oven or until done.
