ROASTED SAUSAGE AND POTATOES 
Potatoes, all-purpose
Salad oil
Salt
Pepper
Paprika
Garlic powder
Anise seed
Italian sausage, cut in 2" pieces

Peel and cube potatoes into 1 inch cubes; put them into a bowl. Drizzle salad oil onto the potatoes, enough to coat them. Mix the potatoes to thoroughly coat them with oil.

Sprinkle with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder and anise seed; toss again.

Pour and spread the mixture into a shallow glass Pyrex baking dish. Place the 2 inch pieces of sausage on top of the potatoes. (Do not cover the baking dish.)

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes; then, turn the sausage upside down, still remaining on top of the potatoes; and bake for approximately another 35 minutes.

Upon removal from the oven, the sausage and potatoes may be tossed together to absorb the flavor. Serve hot and enjoy.
