APPLE CUTS 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
1 egg yolk plus milk to make 2/3 c.

Mix as pie crust. Roll out half of dough into a rectangle. Line bottom and sides of cookie sheet with dough. Sprinkle 1/2 cup crushed corn or bran flakes over dough. Peel 10 or more large apples and slice. Mix apples with 1 cup sugar and 4 teaspoons cinnamon. Spread over crushed flakes. Put on top crust.

Beat egg white until fluffy. Spread over top crust. Bake 35 to 45 minutes at 400 degrees. Drizzle lines of white frosting over top while warm. (1 cup powdered sugar and 3 tablespoons milk) CUT BARS WHILE WARM!
