SHERRY CREAM BARS 
4 oz. baking chocolate
1 c. butter
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt chocolate and butter over hot water in a double boiler. Mix together and set aside to cool slightly. Beat eggs in a mixing bowl until light. Gradually cream in sugar. Add remaining ingredients. Beat 1 minute. Stir in chocolate mixture and pour into greased and floured 10 x 14-inch pan.

Bake 25 minutes. Cool.

Filling:

1/2 c. butter
4 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. heavy whipping cream
1/4 c. sherry
1 c. chopped walnuts

Beat butter and sugar together while gradually adding the cream and sherry; mixture should be light and fluffy. Spread over base and chill.

Topping:

1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
4 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. water

Melt chocolate pieces with butter and water over hot water. Mix well. Dribble over filling. Chill until firm. Cut into 1 x 2-inch bars.
