CHOCOLATE CHIP MERINGUE BARS 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
3 egg yolks
3 tbsp. water
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
12 oz. chocolate chips

Cream sugars and butter. Add egg yolks, vanilla and water. Stir together dry ingredients and add to mixture. Stir well. Spread on 12 x 18 ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Beat egg whites until foamy, then add 1/4 cup brown sugar at a time until you added 1 1/2 cups. Beat until stiff. Spread over chocolate chips. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and cut into bars immediately.
