SHEPHERDS PIE 
5-6 Idaho potatoes
2 med. yellow onions
4 tbsp. butter
1 egg, beaten
Salt and pepper to taste
1 lb. chopped meat
1 tsp. oil (vegetable)
1 tsp. ground thyme
4 tbsp. A-1 Steak Sauce
Paprika
Salt and pepper to taste

1. Peel and quarter potatoes, boil in salted water until tender.

2. While potatoes are cooking, mince onions and saute in oil.

3. Mash potatoes with butter, salt and pepper. Blend in egg. Blend until smooth.

4. Brown chopped meat, add thyme, salt and pepper and steak sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add minced cooked onions.

5. Grease a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Pat all sides and bottom of casserole with mashed potato mixture.

6. Pour in meat mixture into center of casserole.

7. Cover top with remaining potatoes. Spread evenly. Sprinkle with paprika.

8. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serves 4-5.
